ABOUT LUMO

The skincare step you've
been missing out

We started with showerheads, but our purpose has always been bigger:
create innovative solutions to hard, over-treated water, so looking after your skin is one less thing to think about.

Our beginnings

When our founder, Darcey, moved to a new city, her hair and skin changed almost overnight. The products she'd trusted for years suddenly stopped working, and no amount of switching brands seemed to help.

After digging for answers, she found the culprit hiding in plain sight: her shower water. Chlorine, heavy metals, and sediment were quietly undoing everything her routine was meant to do.

So she set out to fix it at the source. The result was Lumo, a filtered showerhead built to strip out what your water shouldn't carry, giving you softer skin, a calmer scalp, and healthier hair with every wash.

When we first tested our own shower water, the results stopped us in our tracks: chlorine, sediment, and traces of metals we'd been rinsing through our hair and skin every single day without a second thought.

That was the moment Lumo made sense. We weren't just building a nicer showerhead – we were giving people an easy way to take something harsh and invisible out of their daily routine, without changing a thing about how they shower.

From the activated coconut carbon that does the real filtering to refills that arrive right when your old one runs out, every part of Lumo is designed to make cleaner water effortless. Today, Lumo helps people turn an everyday habit into something that actually looks after their skin, their hair, and the way they feel stepping out of the shower.

"We didn't set out to sell showerheads. We set out to fix the one part of everyone's routine nobody was looking at."

Sam, Co-founder

Our products

Clean water shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the people who go looking for it. That belief is where Lumo started.

We kept hearing the same thing from people who'd finally tested their shower water: dry skin, brittle hair, that faint chlorine smell they'd stopped noticing. The filters that promised to fix it were either ugly, overpriced, or quietly stopped working after a month because nobody ever changed the cartridge.

So we built Lumo to be the opposite. A filtered showerhead you're happy to have on the wall, paired with refills that show up before you'd ever think to reorder. No guesswork about when your filter's spent, no subscription you signed up for and forgot.

Every part is considered, from the flow of the head to the activated carbon doing the real work inside, tested to make sure it performs shower after shower and not just on day one.

Because it all comes back to one question: what matters most to the person using it?
